Title: ISURP ANNOUNCEMENT

OAKLAND OPENS NEW ISURP OFFICE

Oakland Corporation is pleased to announce the opening of a new 3,600 square-foot office within Iowa State University Research Park. Oakland Corporation’s main office will remain in Story City, while the new ISURP branch will house additional staff and provide a collaborative space to be used for software development, training, and internships, among other projects.

In September of 2019, Oakland made the decision to add a satellite office in Ames, Iowa, and found ISURP to be a great fit: not only for its robust facilities, but also for the innovative community that it harbors. Iowa State Research Park is home to more than 90 companies, including offices for AgLeader, Boehringer Ingelheim, John Deere, Kent, Stine, Vermeer, and Workiva.

Iowa State University is well-known for both its Agriculture and Technology colleges, and we at Oakland look forward to growing into our new location and working with the University to create opportunities for talented students, as well as new Oakland employees, as we continue to innovate our agribusiness accounting platform.

The Iowa State University Research Park (ISURP) is a growing technology community and incubator for new and expanding businesses, providing access to the vast array of resources available at Iowa State University: from talent pipeline management, to specialized equipment, to access to the research infrastructure. The statewide impact from companies with strong ties to ISURP cannot be overstated; five companies that started at ISURP have gone public and multiple others have enjoyed successful liquidity events. The current tenant roster boasts world headquarters locations for two publicly traded companies and major research and development facilities for 10 others.
